Eva Mendes (born in New York City) is an American actress and model. She was spotted by a talent agency who saw her talent and then convinced her to take on an occupation in the entertainment field. After some thought, she dropped out of the school to join the realm of entertainment. She first made an appearance in the movie Children of the Corn V: Fields of Terror and found herself disappointed by her performance. In order to perfect her acting, she worked very hard and appeared in numerous low-budget films to demonstrate her skills. While it wasn't an easy task but the actress's tenacity and perseverance were rewarded. After her success in Training Day, her career as an actor took off.
