Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting by working as an anchor at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a morning-news anchor as well as crime reporter for WCBD TV. The stories she reported in Charleston about the police's leniency regarding DUI cases led to a State Law Enforcement Division to investigate.
